My first post! About me...

Assalamu 'alaykum! Peace be upon you from my heart to your heart!

This is my first post in my new blog. A bit about me: I am 31 and a male Sunni Muslim from the UK with a strong affiliation to the Naqshbandi and Qadiri Sufi orders although I have bayah in the Naqshbandiyya Order! In aqidah [doctrine] I follow Imam Abu Mansur al Maturidi and in fiqh [jurisprudence] I am Hanafi. I am a devotee of the greatest scholar from India of the 20th century, Ala Had.rat Shaykh Imam Ahmad Rida Khan (may his secret be sanctified!) .

I am a maths teacher in training by profession! This blog will (mostly) be about Islam and related issues.

Let me decorate this first post with a verse about the greatest place in the Universe, al-Madinah al Munawwara, the Illuminated City of the Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam):

'Ajab rang par hai bahar e Madinah
Ke hain sab jannatein nisaar e Madinah


The spring in Madinah is uncommonally lovely
The paradises sacrifice themselves for Madinah!
